From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. 4-H in the United States and Canada is a youth organization administered by the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service of the United States Department of Agriculture, with the mission of "engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development." The name represents four personal development areas of focus for the organization: head, heart, hands, and health. The organization has over 6.5 million members in the United States, from ages five to nineteen, in approximately 90,000 clubs. Clubs and related organizations now exist in many other countries as well; the organization and administration varies from country to country. The goal of 4-H is to develop citizenship, leadership, and life skills of youth through mostly experiential learning programs. Though typically thought of as an agriculturally focused organization as a result of its history, 4-H today focuses on citizenship, healthy living, and science, engineering and technology programs. Today, 4-H and related programs exist in over 80 countries around the world. Each of these programs operate independently, but cooperatively through international exchanges, global education programs, and communications. The 4-H motto is "To make the best better", while its slogan is "Learn by doing" (sometimes written as "Learn to do by doing"). From Wikipedia under the

Is it in your rule book? Oh, umm, if she had them before you got her, you should be fine, at least thats what I would think, especially if your in the breeding class to learn more. Good luck! Answered by Bunniee I - Sat Apr 12 14:57:58 2008 What to put on my chinchilla project for 4-H? Q. I'm doing a chinchilla project for exploring animals in 4-H. So far I have my intro, and a diagram showing a beige chin with arrows showing each part of it's body and what it's for. What else should I add? Asked by animalluver!!! - Wed Jul 22 16:33:15 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. I would definitely do good bit about their history. Here are a few links that should help. One tells about where they are in the wild, the other tells how we came to have chinchillas in the US today. Wikipedia isn't normally my first choice for information, but this article is pretty accurate. Here is an excellent link to M.F. Chapman's story on how chinchillas came to be in the US: I would also include a color wheel, or maybe pictures of the different colors of chinchillas. If you go to post what you are doing a project for, and ask for pictures - I'm sure you'll have them in every color, shape, and size for your presentation. I would definitely mention what a proper diet is, but please be sure that you are correct in… [cont.] Answered by tuneses - Sat Jul 25 11:18:21 2009 How much do 4-H quality mini-lop rabbits usually run from breeders?
Q. i'm looking for a mini-lop to show in 4-H next year, if you know the price range on any lops, and whats the cheapest type of lop. Asked by [[pinkpassion]] - Sun Jul 19 22:39:56 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Prices differ from breeder to breeder no matter the breed. Of course the best typed rabbit will be priced higher. The best thing to do is look around rabbitry websites and e-mail a few breeders about what they may have for sale and prices. Mention that you are a 4-Her, most breeders are eager to help 4-Hers. I've seen nicely typed rabbits range anywhere from $75-$500. I've seen a couple go for $1000 as well.
