How can i get in contact with the 4-H club?
Q. I have ten baby bunnys that i would like to give to them. I have put them in the paper for sale but only sold one so far. Most people jus wanted them for either snake food or to eat!!! I didnt know people even ate rabbits! but anyway i know they will take good care of them and i really dont want to put them in a shelter. So please let me know if you know any way that i could contact them ASAP. Thanks

A. You should look for your county Extension Office number. Not beinf sure where you live you will have to do some work on finding it. Are your rabbits purebred with pedigrees? Most 4h kids will not want them if they are not. As an advisor and rabbit breeder we try and find the best example of the breeds for the kids to raise and show. Also rabbits were first domesticated as a food source as they breed easily and grow to butchering weight quickly, as long as they are a meat or dual purpose breed. rabbit meat is very tasty and is nutritionally the best meat you can eat. It is hig in protein and low in calories and colesterol. Nothing wrong with eating rabbit. if you are trying to give rabbits away that is where they most likely will go,… [cont.]
