Hs anyone staged or watched the play AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS?
Q. Hi, we are planning to produce this play. I would like to know if anyone has staged the play, or seen a performance, and how the audience response was like. What are the traits of the play- is it funny, etc. Thanks.

A. From a production standpoint, obviously a challenging piece to adapt for the stage. Even on a very small scale, one would have to design the Balloon, and the appearance of it aloft. The play would also take numerous set changes, as well as costuming changes, even if same people were used to play various parts, in the different settings. I suspect the target audience might be best of those who know the story, have possibly seen the film version, and enjoy the notion. Beyond that, most audiences viewing live performance theater do not bring vegetables with them to a theater, to throw at the actors. Certainly your adaptation, would have to take into account, the Balloon, and managing blackouts, or intermissions in scene changes, to… [cont.]

How does Phileas Fogg meet back up with Passepartout, in the book Around The World in 80 Days?
Q. I don't understand how it is possible, after they became separated at Hong Kong, and then Passepartout took a different boat than Phileas, and then Phileas saw Passepartout's boat leaving from the shore. And then in the next chapter, while Passepartout is preforming as a clown he sees Phileas and they go on their way. How were they able to meet back up? What am I missing?!
