It's unbelievable to me that even pornography is legal because there are laws in place that say if something is "obscene" (one of MANY vague terms only the government can get away with using to make rules by) then it is not legal... you'll have to get into the details via the penal codes, but ultimately, that's the overall summation of it. Q. I am being forced to oppose the legalization of MJ for a debate. Personally I love pot and want it legal. I don't want to bring up cliche reasons that are easily dismissed. Can anyone help? Are there any pot smokers who are against legalization? How would it be bad for the economy? The government would be getting to BIG of a 'cut'. check High Times magazine for articles, another might be Mother Jones, Local papers in Northern CA, Willits, Laytonville, Mendocino not the only one... WHat it does for the economy in Northern CA cannot be denied, MANY depend on it. Sure some complain, but it has been their cornerstone industry for 30+years..
