Youth development or adolescent development is the process through which adolescents (alternately called youth or young adults) acquire the cognitive, social, and emotional skills and abilities required to navigate life. The experience of adolescence varies for every youth: culture, gender, and socioeconomic class are important influences on development. This development occurs throughout a young person's life, including formal and informal settings such as home, church, or school; and similar relationships, such as peer friendships, work, parenting, teaching, or mentoring. If medical drugs or treatments could rejuvenate you, give you more than the Bible's "three score and ten" years of life, what would Christian views on the procedures be? I live in East TN and work in the criminal justice system so I am quite familiar with the reputation of this facility. It is basically a prison for underage kids. The main goal is protection of society. I do not believe they are as geared as they should toward actually helping the kids. If you are thinking of employment there, I have heard it is a dangerous place to work. They have a lot of turnover as well (and you have to wonder why that is). I'm sorry if I am the bearer of bad news but I figure you want an honest opinion. If I can be of any further help, feel free to email me.
